Honor

Honor

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Romans 12:10

Honor is value, worth, weight, preference...

Philippians 2:3-4 has this to teach us: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

From Texas Tech XA: One of the key ingredients to a healthy small group is unity. Whether your group has believers or not, it is crucial that you are a family and truly love one another. Paul says that the key to unity is honor, that there is NO unity outside of honor! We’ve got to understand this if we are to love our sheep well!

Take 5 minutes to memorize Romans 12:10 or Philippians 2:3-4. Then watch/listen to the message and then complete the Practice activities below to complete this module.

Spend at least 5-10 minutes seeking God's face about a person you know whom you find difficult to honor. What vision (new perspective) does God give you in that time? How can you speak that value over their life?
