Matt & Jen DeGier
Matt and Jen pioneered XA at Tulane back in 2003. They love each other, their four boys, getting outdoors, Saints Community Church and college students, with a special spot in their hearts for international students. Matt enjoys coffee and working out, but is also a total nerd, usually reading or listening to at least 6-8 books at any given time. He writes about stuff at mattdegier.wordpress.com While Jen gives most of her time to homeschooling the boys and leading children's ministry at SCC, she also teaches group exercise and enjoys the family's four chickens. And yea, they are a board games family.
Jason & Olivia Jeffries
Jason and Olivia met one another in Chi Alpha at LSU in 2013 and were married a few years later. They worked and were involved in volunteer ministry until 2019 when God opened the door for them to serve at Tulane with Chi Alpha. As a part of the Chi Alpha community, they desire to share the love and message of Jesus with American and international students on campus through evangelism and discipleship. Their son, Judah, was born in June 2023, and has brought joy to them and to many students since then. Jason enjoys working out with students, climbing rocks, playing board games, and writing. Olivia enjoys cooking, dancing, and playing games with family and friends. Judah enjoys just about everything in life, except giving his mom and dad a full night's sleep!
